You should pray this February

Since Hope Church launched in August of 2021, we've intentionally taken 28 days each February to pray together as a church.

I started this because I wanted to set aside an intentional season each year to focus on prayer and remind our church (myself included) that prayer IS the work. In February, we preach on prayer, send prayer updates, gather to pray, and have nights of prayer and worship.

Last week, I was preaching at one of the churches we planted, Willeo River Church, and as a part of the sermon, I shared an image of a whiteboard from one of Hope Church's first prayer gatherings. There were 15 items on that list, and as I looked at the image, I recognized that EVERY SINGLE one of those prayer requests had been answered in the last two years. From finding a permanent building to recruiting 10 Hope Kids volunteers, to planting churches, to multiplying groups... God has answered every prayer request that we have prayed.

In our minds, we all know that we should all pray every single day. Many would say that you struggle to do that, so why don't you start by committing to pray for a season, for one specific thing?

This year, we are committing February 2 through 29 (it's a leap year) to 28 days of prayer. This year, I am challenged to pray harder than ever, to pray more specifically than ever, to pray with more faith than ever, and to pray with more expectancy than ever. Because I've seen that God answers prayer, if He answers prayer for me, and He answers it for our church, I am confident He'll answer your prayer as well.

If we can pray for you, or if you'd like to join our prayer team this month, you can sign up at hopechurchuh.com/pray. I'll be sending a weekly update.
